| | | Hyundai challenges Maruti's sales pitch | | Posted Sunday, September 03, 2006 4:46:11 PM by Blog57 Team | | India's top two carmakers have come face-to-face once again with Hyundai Motors moving MRTP Commission challenging the sales pitch unleased by market leader Maruti in its latest advertisement campaign, saying it was a "misleading and disparaging campaign". Alleging that Maruti was indulging in unfair trade practice, Hyundai has asked for relief from the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission. The case is expected to come up for hearing on Monday, sources said. Earlier last year, the two companies had got into a spat over advertising brochures of Hyundai titled 'Xing ahead of Swift'. Maruti, which had at that time launched Swift, had served a legal notice on Hyundai demanding withdrawal of certain information in the brochure, terming it as 'factual error'.... | |

| | | 2004 Suzuki Verona EX from North America | | Posted Saturday, September 02, 2006 6:46:19 AM by Blog57 Team | | All the bickering on here cracks me up. "I'm right, no I'm right, nuh uh I am". If it matters to you where your car was assembled all you have to do is look at the sticker on the inside of your driver's side door. Consequently, our '05 Forenza was manufactured in Canada. Not all Suzukis are assembled in Korea. Fix the spelling and grammar of this comment Request deletion of this comment 18th Mar 2006, 13:44 I bought a 2006 Suzuki Verona on February 11, 2006. I had the car three weeks and it stalled and would not crank back. It then had to be towed to the nearest dealer. They called me and said everything looked fine and I could come pick the car up. The night I picked the car up, it happened again and I had to have it towed again. They found that the TCM computer was bad and replaced it under warranty.... | |

He was less than a second faster than Yamaha Austria's Gwen Giabbani (1:29.493), setting the scene for a very competitive race tomorrow. Suzuki Castrol team manager Dominique Meliand was pleased with the performance of all his riders: "We set good times on qualifying tyres and good times on race tyres so I am happy. If it rains tomorrow then that makes it difficult to race; there are a lot of people on the track here and a lot of tight turns - but then that is Oschersleben." Yamaha Austria rider Sebastien Scarnato is really looking forward to the race; "I think we can be equal to Suzuki Castrol here.... | |
