Posted Friday, February 02, 2007 12:45:37 PM by Blog57 Team
If Lamborghini can have its own mobile phone, we suppose it's only fair that Ferrari get one too. Introducing Motorola's MotoRAZR Maxx V6 Ferrari Challenge. With a V6, wouldn't that make it a Dino? No matter, because it does have 'the iconic prancing horse shield on the front and "Ferrari" in the company's easily recognizable font on the back. The phone turns on with the sound of a Ferrari Formula 1 engine revving. It's available for pre-order from the Ferrari Store online for a mere $524 -- about the same price as the upcoming iPhone, but oh so much more, um, Italian. And it's about $1,200 cheaper than that Lamborghini phone which doesn't come with a red Ferrari leather case.Read the Motorola press release with the phone's full specs and more photos after the jump.[Source:Motorola]Motorola presents the new MOTORAZRmaxx V6 Ferrari Challenge Mobile Phone Limited EditionMilano, January 26, 2007 – Motorola, Inc....

Crystal Ball: Lamborghini Looks to New Gallardo, Murcilago
Posted Wednesday, October 25, 2006 6:46:35 AM by Blog57 Team
SANT'AGATA BOLOGNESE, Italy — Don't believe everything you've heard about Lamborghini's future — particularly any rumor that a new Espada or Miura is coming. On the other hand, successors to the Gallardo and the Murciélago are much more likely. So says Stephan Winkelmann. If anyone should know what the Italian carmaker is up to in coming years, it's the enigmatic Italian chosen by parent company Audi to run the Sant'Agata based sports-car maker following a period of consolidation following the launch of the Murciélago and Gallardo, which together have boosted Lamborghini sales to record levels in recent times. Winkelmann claims that reports suggesting Lamborghini is looking to revive the front-engined Espada are well wide of the mark, saying, "Any future Lamborghini sports car needs to be both mid-engined and four-wheel drive." Rumors that Lamborghini is working on a front-engine rival to the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti have been circulating ever since a series of design sketches portraying such a model mysteriously found their way onto the Internet early last year....

Dressed all in white: the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Versace

The Murcielago LP640 is touted as the fastest production Lamborghini to date, and as if the 631 horses powering this beast weren't enough to get your juices going, the Italian carmaker is releasing a special edition dubbed the Versace. Just as the Nera wrapped the Gallardo completely in black, the LP640 Versace is draping the Murcielago in white, inside and out. It is mechanically identical to the garden variety LP640, meaning it has the same monstrous 6.5L V12 longitudinally mounted behind the driver. Classy and fast... I think I just wet myself. Profit/Work & Money: Lord of the Lamborghini

Please call me Ron, said Ron Lim, the manager for sales and customer service of ES Evolution Sdn Bhd, which is the official importer and distributor of Lamborghini cars in Malaysia. He said it with the sincerest smile; so much so that you just cant help but feel at ease. Our photographer and I paid Lim a visit at his office-cum-showroom at the Subang Industrial Park, and asked me to drop the Mister. Lets not be too formal, said the 48-year-old. He gave an intimidating smile when I explained about my zero knowledge on cars. From then on, each time he mentioned a model of a car or a bike, he repeated it twice. The former speed demon spoke fondly about his role as a husband and a father. According to him, this was something that he did not really pay much attention to during his younger days, as he found it distant and unimaginable....

Tennis: Coming Into Focus

You knew the end was near. You knew the screen would soon go black and leave you in the dark, wondering what the hell you'd just seen. One Andre, two Andres, three Andres, four. Five Andres, six Andres, seven Andres, more. Has any athlete ever changed as much as Andre Agassi? Sure, you'd watched Tiger Woods change his swing, Michael Jordan change his sport. But who changes himself? Metamorphosis is the rarest achievement in sports. Why would a man bother to change when he's got the American dream by the throat? Maybe it's just too damn risky; what if it puts out the fire that forged his steel? You traveled to a lake in Texas 20 years ago to find George Foreman, fished with him for bass and for the story of how he went from sullen menace to grinning Buddha....

Following up on the Ferrari F430 Spider, with its customized Lamborghini Spyder, HAMANN has now introduced a second top-class, open-top Italian racer into its tuning range. Like its cousin from Maranello, this sports car (with the bull in its logo) also stands out after being revamped at HAMANN with its racing flair and sportier look. Aerodynamics with racing look From a visual aspect, HAMANN lends the masculine, angular contours of the Gallardo Spyder an additional shot of testosterone. The extensive aerodynamics suite, which has been perfectly matched to the body of the compact Lamborghini, includes a downforce generating front spoiler, which is additionally equipped with an adjustable cup front spoiler lip borrowed from the racing scene. The muscular appearance of the Gallardo Spyder is enhanced by the HAMANN side sills which also make the car look lower on the road, besides lending it a fuller appearance....

Hubble-bubble, toil and tractor

It's not all high-tech in the vineyards, reveals Tony Lee. I WANT a Lamborghini. My next-door neighbour had one, and he let me drive it one day. It was a revelation. The clutch and hydraulics were the smoothest I've experienced, every bit as enjoyable as the air-conditioned ambience. Speed? This machine had grunt: "40 kp/h", it said on the bonnet. Fastest tractor I've ever had the pleasure to drive. For the past few years I've driven the tractor belonging to my mentor Ian Home, but the time is coming when I will have to buy my own. Ian, a man who pioneered quality sparkling wine in Australia when he co-founded the Yellowglen label, has had an interest in all things automotive since before I was born and knows a thing or two about tractors as well as cars....

New Delhi, July 14: Adding to the ballooning list of luxury cars that cost over a crore on Indian roads, Italian sports car maker Lamborghini on Friday rolled out its super luxury hot wheels: 'Gallardo' and 'Murcielago'. Lamborghini President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann said that the company had already sold six cars in India (two of them delivered) and hoped to finish the year with ten. "We come to India not by chance but with a plan. The Indian economy is growing and so is the list billionaires and millionaires, which makes it an attractive and important market for us," he said. Winkelmann said as the Indian economy grew and so did the capacity of people to buy luxury cars, the company hoped to sell as many as 50-60 cars per year in the country, rapidly developing infrastructure also being one of the positive factors....
