Hill - no relation to Graham Hill, who won the title the following year - remains the only USA-born driver to achieve the feat. He was driving for the Ferrari team at the time, and his record also includes three wins in the Le Mans 24 Hour race. Tributes to Hill are scheduled to take place around lunchtime of each of the three days of the meeting. Cars from his past which are also due to appear at Goodwood include a Ferrari 750 Monza, a Ferrari 250 GTO, the Aston Martin Project 215, an OSCA MT4 and the MG TC with which he began racing at home in California.
