Officers spoke with a woman who said that as she walked to her car with her bags she saw a man sitting inside a parked car nearby. The car door was open and the man was fidgeting, a police report said. The woman thought about going back inside but continued walking. As she unlocked her car, the man said that he needed her bags. He did not threaten her or show any weapons, the report said. CVS staff said that another woman spoke with the victim while they were waiting in line at the pharmacy counter. Nelson suffered head injuries and was transported to Paris Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The juvenile's brother was driving a Honda Civic and the mother was riding in the passenger seat as they chased the daughter down Seed Tick Road toward Highway 12.The chasers were able to block the juvenile into a driveway, and when she backed into a pole while trying to maneuver around her family, the brother jumped out of his car and blasted the driver's side rear tire with a 12-gauge shotgun to disable the vehicle.“We got there and recovered the weapon," Lowndes County Sheriff's Investigator Tony Cooper said.... | |
