| Exclusive Video and Spy Photos: 2008 Cadillac CTS-V | | Posted Wednesday, November 01, 2006 2:46:28 AM by Blog57 Team | | First revealed on 60 Minutes months ago, the 2008 Cadillac CTS has been one of the most photographed prototypes of the year. In our latest spy video, we catch the first shots of its high-powered brother, the 2008 Cadillac CTS-V. Caught recently on the Nürburgring test track, as well as various surface streets around the famous German facility, this Cadillac CTS V-Series was outfitted with all the usual equipment found on these high-performance variants of standard Cadillac models. Up front there's a deeper, more aggressive airdam along with a signature mesh grille. Closer inspection of the photos also shows an upgraded set of wheels and tires although it's not clear whether these are production spec or not. Heavy-duty brake hardware is also evident as are some slight alterations to the lower bodywork.... | |

| | | 1993 Audi RS2 from Germany | | Posted Monday, October 09, 2006 2:46:01 AM by Blog57 Team | | For some reason the rear wheels and tyres stick out from the wheel arches by about 15mm. Hence every time the car goes over a bump the tyres rub on the arches. Short of taking using a tape measure does any one have any ideas? Another option could be to buy some standard RS2 wheels - where can I get these from? Thanks for any help. Steve. Fix the spelling and grammar of this comment Request deletion of this comment 10th Nov 2004, 15:10 About tyres. This is an update from a previous posting! My earlier comments mention the problems I had with Pirelli P-Zeros 245x45x17. These are not the correct standard tyres, but were on the car when I bought it from Fontain, never the less the cap between the standard Dunlop 245x40x17 and Pirelli is about the same, been less the 4mm between the track-rod end and the tyre wall.... | |

| | | The upcoming (unofficial) Audi RS6 to be faster than M5 and E63 AMG? | | Posted Friday, September 15, 2006 10:47:23 PM by Blog57 Team | | We don't have any official word about the upcoming Audi RS6 from Audi. We do remember that the past RS6 was a straight-line monster (a bit slower than the E55 but faster than the M5). The RS6 did not handle well at all due to its AWD and turbos. The same characteristics appy to the previous European-only RS4.If we take a look at the current RS4, we see that it is a MUCH improved car over the previous one and it is believed by some to be the new benchmark in class for performance (it's numbers don't lie and acceleration wise it is the benchmark) Let's not get into the RS4 vs. M3 nosense again though....So if Audi follows tradition the way they did with the previous RS4 compared to the current one the upcoming RS6 should be a car without turbos and it should deliver mighty straight-line performance as well as some brilliant handling that would allow it to defeat the M5 around a track such as the Nurburgring. Also PLEASE do not say that the RS6 is a car for those who can't afford the BMW M5 or Mercedes E63 because the previous RS6 was MORE expensive than both the M5 and E55.... | |

| | | 2007 Audi S6 Preview | | Posted Wednesday, August 16, 2006 12:45:53 PM by Blog57 Team | | No doubt, 2006 will go down in history as the year Audi returned to the performance fore. With the amazing RS4 leading the charge, it would appear the brand that made their name dominating the worlds rally circuits has finally returned their attention toward the world of class-dominating sport models. The RS4, recently made available, recognized by many as the fastest way up or down any given road, with the soon-due S8 an easy contender for the top spot among the worlds fastest full-size luxury sedans. But what about the A6 series? After all, the last generation A6 bore the RS6, previously Audis top performing model. With a twin turbo V8 pushing 450 horsepower to all four wheels, the mid-level luxury/sport sedan was an efficient M5-crushing machine only criticized for its almost perfect performance.... | |

| | | Audi has an "RS" model assault planned on the market... Will all their hopeful models become a reality in the U.S? | | Posted Tuesday, August 15, 2006 2:46:10 AM by Blog57 Team | | Having just unleashed the M3 straight-line and Nurburgring killing RS4, Audi is in the process of launching an RS model assault on the market. As we all know Audi's RS division is the highest level of performance from the Audi's Quattro GmBH subsidiary. These cars are not to be taken lightly as they pack enough goods and carry a price tag to the point where they can make BMW's appear cheap in price and also slow.Audi has planned the following RS models: RS3, RS4 (currently out) RS5, RS6, TTRS and R8 (also built by Quattro GmBH).The previous RS6 was a faster accelerating car than the E39 M5. The RS4 is a faster accelerating car than the BMW M3.If the RS4 is any indication, Audi will be a MAJOR force in the high performance arena.I know this is a HUGE threat to BMW's M division because the Audi RS division has clearly stepped up their game.We BMW supporters can no longer be confident in the fact that BMW will be the leader of sport sedans.Which one of these Audis will come to the market.... | |
