All seven passengers in the van were farm workers from the Stockton area, Merced County sheriff's Deputy Ed Katen said. Juvenito Soto-Torrez, in his 20s, Angel Gonzales-Estrada, 54, and Jose Tapia-Perez, 18 or 19, all of Stockton, were identified as three of the four fatalities in the wreck at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The identity of a fourth Stockton man who died in the accident was not released Thursday. Katen said the seven men were traveling north on Highway 99 north of Peach Avenue when, possibly due to a blowout, the van entered the oncoming lane and collided with a big rig. The truck broadsided the 1993 Chevrolet van, Katen said. Three men were ejected in the crash and a fourth man had been extricated using the Jaws of Life tool.... | |

On paper, this is an excellent car. In reality, the G35 needs more refinement. The car has a huge amount of road noise. The ergonomics of the car, such as the stereo controls are placed in a strange position, as though the car was designed for right hand drive (it was). Given the problems with the clutch, transmission and other drivline related problems, I can't wait to get rid of the car. There is a large amount of driveline noise. The dealer service department needs improvement.... | |
